Introducing the Newbound App Store and our First Product

UPDATE: The actual 3D design files for this product are available on the Thingiverse website under my software partner’s account.

My software partner, Marc Raiser, CEO of Newbound, Inc., made this announcement today:

“At long last, my company has released its first commercial product for sale to the general public! The software is part of the Web Enabled Powerstrip open source hardware project which anyone can build by following the step-by-step instructions posted online.

A Web Enabled Powerstrip is like a regular powerstrip, except you can control it with a web browser, or with your iPhone® and iPad® devices using our free Powerstrip Universal software available from the Apple® App Store℠.”

Our Newbound App Store was created using our Newbound Software Library. It runs on an Amazon Could Computer Instance we operate and maintain.

You can see the installed iOS Powerstrip Universal software in action by installing the Powerstrip Demo on your Mac computer and connecting to it with the Powerstrip Universal software. You may also watch this Powerstrip Universal video to see how it works.

More of our software products will be released soon.
