Exploring AWS SimpleDB

Tonight I spent some time exploring Amazon’s SimpleDB Web Service. It’s a easy database to use relying in key-value pairs for storing the content. It is not a relational database.

I worked through the, Get Started with Amazon SimpleDB page using the Javascript Scratchpad for Amazon SimpleDB example. It runs best in Windows Internet Explorer depending on ActiveX.

The next step might be to use the references at, Where Do I Go from Here? or dive into, Indexing and Querying Amazon S3 Metadata with Amazon SimpleDB.
