C-SPAN: House Committee Oversight and Government Reform National Security, Homeland Defense, and Foreign Operations: U.S. Military Withdrawal from Iraq

Last night I watched the House Committee Oversight and Government Reform National Security, Homeland Defense, and Foreign Operations on the topic of U.S. Military Withdrawal from Iraq C-SPAN session, on TV. The program description is shown next:

Witnesses testified about transitioning responsibility for U.S. operations in Iraq from the Defense Department to the State Department as part of the final withdrawal of U.S. troops. Witness disagreed on the State Department readiness for the transition, focusing their arguments on staffing and funding issues.

This was an adversarial meeting. As usual the Administration officials sometimes are reluctant to give a complete and truthful answer to questions. Many Administration officials over the life of this nation take that position depending on the political sensitivities. Transparency is easy to talk about, very tough to divulge.
