Introducing: What Will Wimpy Obama Do?

This section, Introducing: What Will Wimpy Obama Do?,  is the collection of my thoughts questioning President Obama’s policies and actions with respect to stronger Presidents of my lifetime: Kennedy and G.W. Bush. This collection will grow over time.

There are previous posts here that deal with Obama proper and his lack of effective leadership and adherence to the U.S. Constitution and federal laws.

The first reference has to do with Iran’s announcement that it has end-run the sanctions in place for years, supposedly to prevent Iran from enriching Uranium. I quote from that linked article:

Iran touted the advancements as steps in the country’s efforts to master the complete nuclear fuel cycle, despite Western penalties and U.N. sanctions aimed at stopping the process.

So what will wimpy Obama do about this dangerous Iranian capability?

The second reference has to do with Iran’s shadowing the U.S. ships in the Strait of Hormuz as they enter the Persian Gulf. I quote from that article:

With just six poorly equipped corvettes, IISS says it’s nearly impossible for the Iranians to compete with the U.S. Navy. Their reports says that in the event of attack, however, Iran would employ mines, torpedoes, rockets and anti-ship missiles while trying to avoid direct conflict with U.S. ships.

IISS speculates that the Iranians would bring out their fast attack subs and ships to attack at sea, and use flat-bed trucks to fire anti-ship missiles from land.

What will wimpy Obama do about those provocative Iranian actions?

I recall President Kennedy’s tough response during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. The video below is an important announcement and decision by Kennedy in the face of grave threats to the United States at that time.

During that video, a strong President Kennedy didn’t talk about wimpy economic sanctions. Instead it put it to the USSR bluntly on national TV:

It shall be the policy of this nation to regard any nuclear missile launched by Cuba against any nation in the western hemisphere as an attack by the Soviet Union (USSR) on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response upon the Soviet Union.

I was alive when President Kennedy took office. He impressed me then and still does. He was a strong President and Obama is not one. I remember watching his Inauguration Speech live in TV as shown in the video below:
