Chuckman’s Places On WordPress: Featuring The Beloved Urban Village Of South Shore Chicago

Gitta, a friend of mine on Facebook, found this wonderful link to pictures of places from my childhood neighborhood on the south side of Chicago. This area is also where I went to Caldwell Elementary School and Bowen High School.

I remember going to several of the movie theaters mentioned on that web site. My favorite movie theater was the Avalon where I attended many movies from 1959 to about 1965. Some of the interior via Chuckman’s image links is below:
