Author Notes Number 1

Today's song is, Blue Velvet by Bobby Vinton.

I'm beginning to collect my thoughts about my book project [ 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6]. As I woke up this morning, I began to weave a short story of which the paragraphs seem to capture the essence of at least four chapters of my book. They aren't the only chapters, but they will be important ones as part of the overall theme.

The events I'll write about in my book will all be true. The intention is to share those events in ways that are useful and informative. The book will begin by covering my childhood years and evolve towards where I am in present time, happily married and self-confident of the path I lived.

I called this morning's thematic outline/story, "I Kissed Her". I decided a few moments ago to publish this introduction of my thoughts here as they came to me this morning.

I Kissed Her

I kissed her and I felt something I never felt before. As our lips parted and withdrew, we opened our eyes upon a new relationship in its first few moments of birth. It was new, wonderful, and, good.

...

I kissed her and I felt something I never felt before. We engaged in the throws of emotional exchange, entangled in physical embraces for extended periods of time. As our bodies parted and withdrew, we had validated our love, invested in the mutual commitment between us. It was exciting, exhausting, and, complete.

...

I kissed her and I felt something I never felt before. As our lips parted and withdrew, something was missing, something had changed, each kiss subtracted towards indifference. It was sad, despairing, and, heartbreaking.

...

I kissed her and then she was gone.

I already have received some feedback about my intentions in writing my book. Thank you to those that take the time to express your ideas to me. They are always appreciated.
