Double Treats Of May

Above image available as a Desktop

My first treat was last Thursday when I went to the first day showing of the last Star Wars movie, Revenge of the Sith. I think it is tied for the second best episode of all time with Return of the Jedi. I could see how the character, Anakin Skywalker chose to go over to the Dark Side. The complexity of the situations and his own personal desires combined to understand that he could have gone either way and still felt justified. Now I understand better his dilemma that his son, Luke sensed about Darth Vader at the end of Episode 6.

The second treat concerns our daughter who has been visiting with us this weekend. We are stretching every waking hour of the day as long as possible to enjoy her time with us. She's grown up to be a fine woman in so many ways.

Forty years ago, Mike Douglas released a song, The Men In My Little Girl's Life. Today in reading those lyrics reminded me of the boys and men in Jenny's life as she grew. Where did all those years go?

We all ate dinner at a Carlsbad beach-side restaurant last night. Then we went and watched the sun go down on a beautiful evening. I snapped the picture above and named it, "Jenny's Sunset" and created some Desktop Backgrounds of it in celebration of the family event.

Speaking of family, Sherry's sister, Rita, is now helping to oversee a web site for the Blue Island Park District where she is a supervisor. I've watched Rita learn new computer skills since she started in 1983. She has come a long way since those years. Keep up the good work, Rita. I'm proud of you!
