If That's The Way You Want It!

This image is also available as a Desktop

Today's song is I'm On The Outside Looking In by Little Anthony And The Imperials, released in 1965.

I want happiness for me and for you. I can't always deliver on that expectation. I accept the consequences of that understanding. I find it a lot easier to live with myself, knowing I have limits.

I found out that I had limits many years ago. I blew right past those limits at first, but life has a remarkable way of making you rewind and my turn to be impressed with that realization was eventually redeemed.

To try to negotiate a fair bargain is a tradition long established in the American way to life. Down payments of various types might be made in advance in the hope that at least equal value will be returned at the end of the agreement or association. If agreement cannot be reached after intensive discussions, then it often ends up with one side having it their way and not the other's.

If you have not yet learned you have limits, you will likely be the disadvantaged one in those episodes when they conclude. Therefore respect yourself and consider your limits in advance before committing yourself too much.

When you're on the outside looking in, you'll be there for a while, so enjoy the view. At some point you'll move on eventually finding happiness for yourself and be where you belong inside your comfort zone.

You'll appreciate the lessons learned along the path. I already know you'll want it that way.

Back in early February, I was contacted by a representative of the Modesto, California Fire Department. She asked me to grant that organization permission to use my Twin Flames image in their 2005 Annual Report. As a former volunteer firefighter myself, I immediately agreed to their request, free of charge. If that's the way you want it, I thought to myself. :-)

Yesterday, I received a copy of that comprehensive report (shown below) with my image incorporated on the cover! I think it makes the reader want to look on the inside. On page 23 of that report, they gave a very kind acknowledgment of my small contribution to that wonderful document. Thank you!

Last weekend, for the first time, I had a chance to visit The Presidio near Old Town San Diego. I enjoyed the rolling landscape, marvelous tall trees, and statues there. It seems like a great place for some quiet contemplation. I took some pictures of the area.

For those of you interested in seeing a map of which states or countries you visited, check out Visited States. There you can easily build a map of those places. Below is the map of states I've been in, shown in red.

Having it your way along life's paths is a wonderful journey as you start and complete Circles of Life. You may ponder at times, why you do the things you do, or why you are a certain way. If so, perhaps you will take the short amount of time and participate in this Personality Assessment. The answers may be revealing.

As if I didn't already know it, here are my test results. Of course, I realize to take the results of such tests and align it to other things I know about myself. Remember, a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. :-)

So, there you have it with this message. A window to see a small part of me on the outside from an inside web site's point of view. That's a switch!
