Returning Feelings Of Spring Lovers

The above image, The Old Mission is also available as a Desktop Background

Today's song is I Still See Elisa by Clint Eastwood, from the movie, Paint Your Wagon, released in 1969.

Is it something in the air that seems to bring out the romance in people when the Spring season arrives? I know a bit about spring lovers, I've been there. I know plenty of others who's relationships blossomed in the Spring.

Sometimes a new relationship starts causing a current relationship to end. Sometimes a relationship ends in the Spring by accident. It must be something in the air. Then again fresh air is good thing to experience now and then, expanding our awareness. If we later find that perfect love, we find ourselves quickly in-tune enjoying that new breath of Spring.

Perfect loves don't always last as long as we would like. Even a lifetime relationship may not be long enough. However, each Spring is an opportunity to appreciate what you have now or once had. Spring Lovers are an eternal part of life. May you enjoy the ones you find throughout yours...

My good friend, Nicki Branch, takes personal action in the saving of horses. She sent me the following information about her upcoming presentations:

"I will be speaking on Improving Adoptability of Unwanted Horses by Retraining on April 10th. The Homes for Horses 2009, a conference to address various equine welfare issues that directly impact rescue organizations, including the issue of homeless horses in the United States. Scheduled in conjunction with The Humane Society of the United States Animal Care Expo, Homes for Horses 2009 will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 9 and Friday, April 10 at Bally's in Las Vegas, Nevada, with access to the Expo reception the evening of April 8.

Sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States and the Animal Welfare Institute, Homes for Horses 2009 will provide an opportunity to network and problem solve with other leaders in the horse welfare community as we move towards a federal ban on horse slaughter.

The conference will bring together animal welfare organizations and horse rescue groups to discuss the needs and challenges facing the equine rescue community. Dozens of speakers will present valuable "take-home" information on best operating practices for caring for abandoned, neglected or relinquished horses.

Other topics to be covered include: identifying options for placement and rehoming of at-risk horses; fundraising; building a strong volunteer base; the creation of a new sanctuary/rescue accreditation system, and much more. Additional information here.
