A Grandmother's Trip

Today's song is Am I the Same Girl? by Swing Out Sister, released in 1992.

Sherry is in the Chicago region for a few days to visit our daughter's family including the two grandchildren. Sherry always looks forward to these trips to spend time with them.

Updated: Friday afternoon: In speaking with Sherry today, she informed me that when our granddaughter awoke from her night's sleep and came downstairs, the first thing she said to Sherry was, "Grampie at home." Yeap, she misses me too!

This time for her flights she rented some movies from iTunes Store and stored them on her iTouch 16GB device. She sure enjoys the Apple technology we have around the house.

Sherry returns on Sunday afternoon. After almost 36 years of marriage, she's still the same girl for me. She'll have pictures to share and stories to tell. In-between, I may even get the opportunity to have an iChat session with them from here. In the meantime, I can practice my decision-making skills with an App Store application made to order...


I published a page of pictures from the Disneyland trip last Sunday. Three of those pictures I made into Desktop Backgrounds for the iMac.

The Cafe

The Cafe is just south of Foster (5200 North) on the east side of the street. It is a few yards south of Winona St., kitty-corner from a large Walgreens located at Lincoln and Foster. It is a cozy and intimate performance space.
