In Relief Of Someone's Suffering

The above image, Blood, Sweat, And Tears is also available as a Desktop Background

Today's song is One Day In Your Life by Michael Jackson, released in 1975.

Several people I follow on Facebook mentioned that they are trying to cope with someone's suffering or are suffering themselves at this time. Many of their friends on Facebook took the time to provide words of support in each of their situations.

Most people are sensitive to another's needs at times of distress. While the reactions vary in degree and scope, the vast majority of people do acknowledge the suffering of others in a positive way. It is right and just to do so.

In October, 2000 at a time I was hurting, I created the digital art image, Alias for Pain shown below. Its message remains true.

This web site exists primarily for sharing the lessons we all learn in life, often by our own experiences of suffering or by helping others. Eight years ago today, I reached a turning point in my own life. This day I acknowledge my lessons and those of all I know in this journey we call life.

Rest In Peace: Farrah; Michael; and, Ed McMahon. Such news often comes in three's. They will all be remembered for a long, long time.

As promised, I published a page of pictures from the recent Disneyland trip.

This week I watched a wonderful PBS Presentation Paving The Way: The National Park-To-Park Highway, See America First. It discusses the auto trail linking twelve National Parks in the western United States. That road trip was conceived early in the last century by a small visionary organization as a way to promote the national parks.

I've been through nine of these twelve parks listed below, and traveled much of that 5,000 mile path in my trips around the country by auto:

My good friend and mentor, Gene Weed released a free Quicktime short-film of the Fourth of July 2006 Fireworks in Cottonwood, Arizona. He asked me to publish again this year.

Gene plays his sax and adds a short portion of my song, "America". (Requires Quicktime 7). It is formatted to display properly on Apple's iTouch and iPhone devices (after downloading and installing into iTunes). Depending on your Internet connection speed the load time before the movie starts will vary.

My friend, Nicki, has a new story on her horse rescue blog.

My friend, Ronnie Allen, has a web page, Jersey Girls Sing.

An emerging El Niño may bring us needed rain this winter.

Some of these scams I haven't been exposed to yet.
