Family Visit July-August 2009

The above image, Love Potion #9 is also available as a High-Resolution iMac Desktop

Today's song is Theme From A Summer Place by Percy Faith, released in 1960.

This morning I go to pickup my daughter, her mother-in-law, and our two grandkids at the airport. They will be visiting us for many days..

My first stop with them after leaving the airport is to take them to lunch in San Diego's Old Town, a family tradition for our arrivals. I heard from my wife, Sherry, that our one year-old grandson took his first walking steps on Wednesday. We last saw all of them in June.

While they are here there is plenty for them to do including trips to the beautiful beaches in Carlsbad, California and Legoland.

We also have a large kids pool in the backyard for them. We'll be taking them around some of the other parks in San Marcos as part of the activities.

We've been waiting for a couple months for their visit. It won't be long before they're here now...

I published one new short story, The Daydreamer.

My friend, Dimitris P. Magemeneas is an investment advisor at his Edward Jones office at 157 N. Twin Oaks Valley Road, #130, San Marcos, CA 92069. While he and I had lunch this week, he told me of a new investment program for people nearing retirement age.

Recently I've been listening to free iTunes U online lectures for entrepreneurs from Yale University's School of Business and Management.
