Giant Leaps Remembered

Today's song is The World I Used To Know by Jimmy Rogers, released in 1964.

More frequently nowadays, people once more popular in the news pass away. Movie stars, singers, war heros, peace activists, astronauts, my list is inconclusive for sure. The longer I live the more I will experience their passing, there have been so many already.

I find it ironic that during the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Mission, that Walter Crokite passed away. He was the voice for the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo NASA Space programs on CBS. I watched him speak on TV for so many of those missions. He knew how to reach us and make us listen. He made complicated space topics sound simple to understand.

Ordinary people have importance to us as well. There are people who have deeply influenced our lives. We owe much of our present situation to them.

It is the cycle of life to be alive for only a short time in the grand scheme of things. Learn from your mistakes and misunderstandings. Make every day count, positively influence those you can. If you do those things well, you will be remembered by those that knew you.


Sherry and I watched the new Harry Potter movie, on Friday night. We liked it very much.
