Lonesome Ways

The above image, Comanche Moon is also available as a Desktop

Today's song is I'm Your Captain by Grand Funk Railroad, released in 1970.

Earlier this week, I watched the entire min-series, Comanche Moon and enjoyed it very much. I was motivated to look up the life of the Comanche Native Americans and then inspired to create my newest digital image shown above.

The story is shown in ways that seem realistic to me. It must have been a hard life back in Texas back in the 1850's and 1860's. For the Native Americans, their way of traditional life was coming to a forcible close. To the new Texans and Americans living there, their lives were difficult too. Wars always seem to be the way such overlap of cultures tales place.

I watched the Steve Jobs 2008 MacWorld Keynote Presentation. The new MacBook Air is a very cool design. I think it would make a great second computer for those users who need to travel a lot and do presentations. For the typical user though, I don't think it would be a main computer for their usage.

The other MacWorld Keynote announcements were interesting, but the excitement level of MacWorld shows in general seems to be less and less each year. The technology is great, but we can all see it at Apple Stores or online using video.

I went to see the new movie, National Treasure: Book of Secrets on Tuesday. I saw the first movie and enjoyed this second story better. Of course, the viewer needs to suspend some reality for these movies, but that's a good reason movies are fun to watch!

I'm now starting to collect royalties on my iTunes album, Heart Of Digital Passages iTunes Music Album. It's always nice to be appreciated as an artist by people purchasing my products. Thank you.

My connections are increasing on my LinkedIn page. It's always nice to reconnect with the people I've worked with in various capacities. Thank you.

The government is getting ready to act on the recession. I wonder if any bailouts will be part of the package passed or will good economic policies be implemented instead? In this election year, politicians might just do foolish things to get reelected and cause more economic hardship downstream after 2008 is over.

Look for finger pointing signs and that will tell whether responsible fiscal policies are produced or if fiscal folly is perpetrated on the American economy. I've seen both cycles in the past when recessions hit.

Keep you eye on Wall Street firms that seem to be doing well during the recession and listen to their leadership views. For entertainment purposes only, watch those that finger point instead of solving problems.

And above all, don't take the recession personally or feel lonesome because we're all in this together.
