The Visible Spirit Prevails

The above image, Mirror To The Soul is also available as a Desktop Background

Today's song is YouTube's Change the World by Eric Clapton, released in 1969.

I received two emails this week from a person describing themselves as, Visible Spirit. The first one asked me for permission to use some of the text of a speech I outlined in May of 2003, but never have publicly spoken.

I published a large portion of the first email message to me. In my response I granted permission as requested. That person then sent me a second message that indicated a deeper appreciation of the concept as outlined in my speech about the same topic.

The Visible Spirt agreed to provide me credit for using my work and that is sufficient in this case. I do not know where or when my published outlined speech will be utilized by the Visible Spirit. In some ways it is better that I don't always need to know how my work is used in certain cases. In my belief of how the ways of life are structured, I'm not necessarily an important part of subsequent interactions.

It is my expectation that there are millions of people all over the globe that practice what I wrote about in my outlined speech without even looking at my work. I wrote that material from my own life experiences and in general terms, those experiences are not that unique to me.

What is important is that humans work for betterment of humankind using whatever approaches they find effective. As such, it's better to witness a Visible Spirit in action, or perhaps act as a Visible Spirit when you are so moved. I think that's what we're here on Earth for when it comes right down to it.

Many project plans get as far as the planning stage and then the project's performance isn't monitored against the project's baseline plan as the project goes forward. There are entire books and collections written about project management. What many don't know is that there are many unwritten histories about failed projects because the full project management process is allowed to lapse.

Project managers might be interested in this reference page on the topic, Conceptual Project Management Information. I found particularly good insights from these two subjects:

I added an iPhone Desktop of, Mirrors To The Soul, in Portrait orientation.

I added three YouTube music video links as a remembrance for The Day the Music Died--February 3, 1959:

  • True Love Ways
  • La Bamba
  • Chantilly Lace

I went to my local Denny's on Tuesday at 10:30 am, the line was 200 feet from the front door. It was a great offer to make to all of America. I wish I could have waited for the special. :-(

My friend, Pete Yared, started a new software business. For his hard work, iWidgets just received over $4 million in funding.

I first met Pete in the middle 1990's when he was designing database solutions using Prograph CPX just as we in EveryDay Objects, Inc. were also doing. This page talks a little about the 1996 MacWorld Booth we all participated in that year.

My friend, Tammy is staying busy as a Dental Hygienist and building her music business in her waking hours. I'm proud of her accomplishments and how she unselfishly uses her Visible Spirit to help others.

The former Chicago radio show host, Eddie Schwartz passed away this week. He lived in my Chicago neighborhood and went to the same high school as I did. I used to listen to his late night radio show during the mid 1970's. I have a recording on cassette tape of his 1975 Halloween rebroadcast show of the 1938 radio show, War of the Worlds.

I asked my friend and mentor, Gene Weed, if we will restore it in digital format for me. He agreed! :-)

Speaking of restorations... Gene sent me an mp3 of part of the in-flight recording of the recent US Airways crash in the Hudson River. The flight's identity is Cactus 1549 used in the air trafic control process. The whole crash landing was a miracle. The Captain and crew of that jet surely displayed their Visible Spirits that day.

Gene asks listen to that brief segment and see if you detect any confusion, not pointed out by the media?

Google Earth is getting better all the time. In the latest development a user doesn't even need to hold their breath to explore underwater.

All good things come to end...

This was a stupid thing for Bill Gates to do. He has no right to do this just to satisfy his urge towards making a point. Imagine what people who feel Microsoft doesn't see the light might do to him to make their point. It works both ways, Bill.
