Early Rock 'n' Roll Music

The above image, Annie's Charm is also available as a Desktop Background

Today's song is Bristol Twistin' Annie by The Dovells, released in 1961.

The music of my generation is Rock 'n' Roll. Because of my older brothers, I started listening to that music in the middle 1950's. I remember seeing Elvis on the Ed Sullivan Show. The old tube radio in the bedroom where my brothers and I slept was tuned to a Chicago AM station. The record player played 45's in the basement of our home.

The vast majority of my music is from the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. Music before and after those decades has less interest to me. Occasionally I hear a new tune that catches my ear or I discover something from the 1940's that holds my attention.

Almost five years ago I published a list of my top ten songs of all time. Maybe next year I'll publish an updated list.

So far this holiday season, Sherry and I attended one party and one special event play. We have another party coming up on Tuesday night. These events provide a chance to see others celebrating the seasonal cheer.

My partner in Newbound, Inc., Marc, has been working on our Spaminex spam-fighting anti-virus technology section of the website.
