The Season Of Giving

Today's song is Until You Come Back to Me by Aretha Franklin, released in 1974.

In the coming weeks, gifts of various kinds will be exchanged between people who care about one another. Not only is it a time to offer material things, but a time we can offer a genuine part of ourselves.

Smiles are one way to pass along good cheer. Hugs are another. In some cases, more passionate responses are called for, or even required.

Whatever the exchange do it with a open and happy heart. Make someone feel special no matter what you offer. You may be offering something so precious to them that they never forget you.


I added three new short stories:

  • Takeout Memories
  • Holiday Movies

I now have 35 short stories online that accumulated almost 27,000 page views since the first one was published back in March of 2007. Some are more popular than others. Some of them have been discussed by me via emails and in-person. All are meant to be interesting to someone, somehow, at some point in their lives.


Last Friday night, Sherry and I attended her company's holiday party at the new, luxurious, Sheraton Resort, in nearby Carlsbad, California. There we had a wonderful time and a very delicious dinner. Sherry had roasted Chicken and I had Roasted Salmon.

Many companies are downsizing during the economic crash. Sherry's is one company that is still growing. Focusing on future growth is always important no matter what the national economy is doing.


A Montana judge sees the light. I support every person who helps remove religious dogma from our laws. What I mean by that is that religious views have no place in our laws. I do not mean there is no God or that religion is not important. Those are important distinctions to understand.

Yesterday's 67th anniversary of the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor took a new direction.
