Mac Pro Towers Arrive!

Today's song is Envy (In My Eyes) by The Orlons, released in 1964.

Steve Jobs and troupe gave the WWDC 2006 Keynote today. I'm not disappointed with what he had to say.

So much good news to absorb. Apple is continuing to change the world more than one user at a time. There is a banner at WWDC expressing, "Hasta la vista, Vista!" Seems like a true statement to me. ;-)

I am envious of that Mac Pro user that is buying one before I do. I don't know who that user is, but I'm envious. Normally, I am not envious of anyone or anything. A new computer like this breaks my willpower right from the start.

All this week, companies will be announcing products. One of them is a new virtualization product allowing Mac-Intel's to run Windows applications, the few I need to run, that is.

Apple also announced and gave a sneak peek of the next OS for the Mac, Leopard to be released next Spring; probably before Vista hits the streets. The lag will give Microsoft more time to copy the innovative features in Leopard since Microsoft can't seem to be be creative on its own. As an Apple spokesperson said today in speaking about Microsoft, "If you can't innovate, impersonate!" (they showed an Elvis impersonator picture while stating that truth.)

Apple dropped the prices in those sterling Cinema Displays they sell. I've got my eye of envy on one of those too.
