My Generation

The above image, A Day In The Arizona Desert is also available as a Desktop

Today's song is My Life, by Billy Joel, released in 1978.

In my last home page, I wrote a little about my generation. It is a good generation for the most part. Soon we will start to retire. The next generation is waiting in the wings to take our place, and the one behind that one is emerging now too.

My friend, Shelly, sent me this Talkin' 'Bout My Generation YouTube link that mostly stars the generation or two before mine. I don't know if it's all real, but it should be. I like it so much I added it to my own picks.

My good friend, Robert M. Katzman wrote a poem, I Remain Stationary and published it. He and I are from the same generation. I use more technology than he does, but he and I share many common beliefs including that, people are more important than technology.

I am in touch with many more of my generation. Maybe one day we will all be in a YouTube video ourselves--singing Bob Katzman lyrics... ;-)

My bother-in-law, Bob, sent me this cool link. He's in my generation too. :-)

Today's message winds down with the following Digital Insight.

Climbing The Wind (Created in February 2000)

A friend gave me a book back in June 1995 that tells the story of a young man learning to sail, learning to face the trials and tribulations of life. I wanted to learn to sail, but that idea no longer interests me.

Other things occupy my thoughts and time nowadays. When this image was created I was sailing through life in one direction and many months later my life changed course--forever. Using my own words, I quote a portion from that page's narration:

"This image deals with some of the narrative in the book that describes the young man in the story and his experiences in learning to sail a boat as well as navigate life itself."
