Thoughts That Pass For Knowledge

Today's song is Fool If You Think It's Over by Chris Rea, released in 1978.

Sherry and I wish our daughter and son-in-law a Happy Seventh Wedding Anniversary! They are enjoying their marriage even more this year with their 8-month old daughter. :-)

In just a few more days, Sherry and I will celebrate our 34th! Couples married this long seem to be a rare item. So many people don't make such long commitments to one another. Two of our close friends divorced this year after a long marriage. Now they both start off on new directions separately.

Each person contributes so much in life. Think of all the people that effected you and whom you effected. If we weren't here, what would have happened that we prevented? What would have been prevented if we hadn't participated?

Think of someone you had a serious relationship with at some point in your life. Wherever they are today, you helped them get there. You impacted their life to some degree and the decisions they made after you, took them on their path to where they are today. They did the same to you.

It points out how important we all are to each other. We don't always know who helped us arrive at where we are today. They don't always know we helped them arrive to where they are today.

I appreciate those that helped me, directly or indirectly. Life's too short to feel otherwise. :-)

I wrote a new short story, Sealed With Her Kiss.

I published a new PowerPoint Presentation, Delivering Tangible Results 2007 relating to my Twin Oaks Toastmasters club.

Wow, Apple announced Final Cut Studio 2 on Sunday! It is totally amazing what that new software can do.

My friend, Karen, sent me some genealogy links. Karen's done some amazing research for her own family.

In looking through my new Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park Docent materials, I see that Leo purchased the land for that ranch 70 years ago this month. Leo was a fine human being who entertained millions of people around the world during his career. I often think about how many people he effected...

I conclude today's message with the following Digital Insight.

Across The Sun (Created in March 2002)

Something about the instrumental of the same title caught my attention. While listening to it on the car radio, I envisioned two people, walking hand-in-hand, at the dawn of a brand new day.

They begin to share a dream, a life of partnership together.

As the rays of the sunshine rise, so does their intimate understanding of each other as they fall in love. By late morning their love is in full bloom and they spend the afternoon in quiet moments of romantic embrace.

As evening falls they understand their love's made a transit across the Sun, the only witness to their lives that day. Using my own words, I quote a portion from that page's narration:

"The instrumental of the name, "Across The Sun by Keiko Matsui", provided the inspiration for this Bryce picture."
